US’ Largest Hindu Temple All Set To Open-The grand inauguration of the BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham, the largest Hindu temple in the United States, is set to take place in Robbinsville, New Jersey on October 8, 2023.
Spanning an impressive 183 acres, this monumental temple was a labor of love that took nearly 12 years to complete. The construction effort engaged a dedicated force of over 12,500 volunteers hailing from various parts of the United States.
In terms of size, it stands as possibly the second largest temple globally, following in the footsteps of Cambodia’s Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage site that covers an expansive 500 acres.
