Three people were wounded in an attack in the parking lot of the Six Flags Great America

amusement park in Gurnee, Illinois, roughly 45 miles away from

Chicago on Sunday night. None of the injured died or suffered any

injuries that could be life-threatening as per the authorities

in the Chicago region, and is it is the home of Six

Flags amusement park, along with Great Wolf Lodge and Gurnee Mills.

The Gurnee Police Department said in an announcement posted on Facebook

that they received 911 calls at 7.50 p.m. regarding shots being fired in the

area of the theme park that closes around 8.30 p.m. “Gurnee police officers

promptly responded in the scene and found out that the suspect’s car was able to escape the area,” said the release.
